Summer Surf Session Four was a huge success! We had participants from Hoover, James Lick, and Aptos Middle Schools. The adventure began with a beautiful day at Crissy Field. Everyone practiced their paddling and partook in a relay race. The kids where eager to learn about surf vocabulary and couldn’t stop using the word “rad” once they were taught what it meant. We spent our second day surfing at Linda Mar Beach in Pacifica. Our new comers did great and we saw some impressive improvement from the returning students. On Thursday, the MeWater Foundation along with over thirty kids from Sunnydale Parks and Recreation joined us at Miramar Beach in Half Moon Bay. Everyone had a blast enjoying this fun beach day. When they weren’t catching waves, the kids were learning about all types of marine life. Overall, it was an incredible week. We would like to give a special thanks to Sunridge Farms, GoPro, MeWater Foundation, and all of our wonderful volunteers! They give us the support that helps keep us going strong.
